The Soothsayer was a woman who lived sometime between the Battle for Deltora and the reign of King Lief who had the ability of precognition. This gift, tragically, led her to prophesizing to the Shadow Lord of how it's plans to claim Deltora would be thwarted by a young king, resulting in the Soothsayer's tongue being ripped out by the Lord of Shadows personally.[1]
The Soothsayer had the powers of precognition that allowed her to foresee the rise of Lief and the destruction of the Shadow Lord's plans. Unfortunately for the tragic woman, her tongue was then torn out by the Shadow Lord to prevent her from speaking her prophecies to it again.
