Silas, also known as Silas the Strong, was a man of Del and the person who built the forge in Del. He is a direct ancestor to Adin, the first king of Deltora.[1]

The forge of Del was built by Silas the Strong who became the city's local blacksmith. The forge continued to house his descendants for many generations,[1] until the time of King Brandon.[2]
