Manx was a lean man with deep-set eyes. He wore a long black robe and a close-fitting black cap.
Personality[]
Manx is a distrusting and sour person. He advised Chieftain Farr not to trust Rye, believing him to be a Fellan spy, and was often suspicious of anyone else not within the circle of Farr and his personal councilors. He especially feared those with Fellan ancestry, and was greatly offended at the suggestion that it would not be impossible that he himself had some.
Abilities[]
Manx had some authority as an established member of Farr's council. He is addressed at one point as Trader Manx by Petronelle, which may indicate he has experience in trade.
Relationship[]
Manx served in Fell End alongside Sigrid and Barron as Farr's advisors. He trusts few people outside the three of them, even Farr's immediate family, as his wife's nurse Petronelle has heterochromia, and he believes this indicates Fellan blood.
Manx appeared distraught at Barron's disappearance during the attack on the Fell Zone, and was upset to learn of his betrayal and subsequent death.
Appearances[]
The Three Doors[]
Manx arrives on the boat to Fell End with Farr and the other advisors. He is present when Rye saves Farr's son Zak from an attack by a Shadow Lord servant, but believes Rye to be a spy himself attempting to ingratiate himself, and that he is faking his amnesia.
His suspicion allows him to discover the rigged explosive placed in Farr's dish by Jett in time for it to be defused.
He assists in organizing the attack on the Fell Zone and the Fellans. He is with Farr to hear Rye's speech against attacking the Fellans, magically enhanced by the honey sweet. He sees the transformed Shadow Lord servant attack, and fears that Barron, who was nearby, has been harmed by it, before learning that the two are one and the same.
