Greers are human-like creatures created by the Shadow Lord his Shadow Army. Greers  were made before the Shadow Lord  created Grey Guards and Ols. The Shadow Lord possibly created the Greers in his factory but it is unknown. They lacked of intelligence and weak to cold weather, but had strength and endurance. They were not as reliable as the Grey Guards, but the Shadow Lord had to make do with what he had.

Enhanced Greers

Later in the Battle for Deltora against the Shadow Lord, he further improved his Greers in:

• Strength
• Intelligence
• Cunning
• Endurance

Function

Their main functions were to raid, kill, and destroy. Their tactic is rushing down from the Barrier Mountains and then spread over the land. This was the great conflict between the armed forces of Deltora and the Shadow Army. Because the Deltorans could not withstand the raids anymore, they united to form a enourmous army with Adin and the completed Belt of Deltora to expel the Greers, Ak-Baba, Vraals, the Shadow Lord and all his other creatures from Deltora.

Interesting Facts

A big stone formed as a man called "The Greer" is located near the Dreaming Spring, close to the point where Emerald, Amethyst and Lapis Lazuli Territories meet.
