What's on your mind?
This isn't really about the page, but more what to put on it. I've been thinking about what to write up in the personality section on the Anna page. I think I've managed to get a feel of her personality while reading between the lines in the books, and I think I could type something up for her personality. But, I'm not sure how reliable the information would be since it's not exactly as if the info was openly stated in canon. :/
Also, how do you think it best write up info for Anna's relationships? I'm not sure what to write for the Anna/Jarred relationship other than that they were deeply in love and Jarred was (probably) heartbroken at her death. I do have my own idea of how Anna and Jarred's relationship was like, but I'm afraid that's mostly my headcanon and not openly confirmed by the actual canon.
And also, how strictly should we stick to canon when writing up information? I know that it's important to be accurate and so on when editing but when it comes to pages about characters like Anna who are hardly in the books should we just leave sections blank or can we just fill them in if we have an idea of their personality/relationships from events which happened in a character's backstory?
Is there a reason all the images in the Thaegan's children articles are from the anime? Can I exchange them for ones from The Deltora Book of Monsters?
When I was growing up with Deltora, it was from this Scholastic book club that sent me all sorts of really cool things to go along with the books: a big map, stickers, models of the dragons... it was so amazing.
And among them, were many MANY cards. Cards with fantastic artwork of the different monsters, people, tribes, gems, artifacts... and they all had neat descriptions on them that would have been great info to add to this wiki.
I sadly do not have them anymore, and I cannot find any information on these cards anywhere on the internet. No articles, no wiki pages, no one selling them, and not even a single image of them.
I'd almost think I'd gone mad and made them up if I didn't find the old scholastic advertisement for the club:
Anyone know anything about them?
Does anyone know how long it took for Lief, Barda and Jasmine in Steven's caravan to get to Withick Mire through the road connecting Del and Tora? I only ask because I'm finishing a fic (most of the last chapter set during Return to Del) and want to get timing and continuity right. I'd be grateful if anyone could answer.
How exactly did the slaves enter it? Was it through Dread Mountain or Shadowgate?
It's not really urgent for me to know, I'm just curious and need the info to help me write a fic. I'd be grateful for an answer. :)
I'm slightly confused about referencing. Do we put a reference after every single fact we see or after a group of facts that could go under one reference? Do we still put references under book headings (eg. 'In The Valley of the Lost') in the character pages?
I was wondering what people think about having a space for the Japanese title and translation of an episode in the Episode Infobox template. Previously, on a few articles, I have put the Japanese title and translation in the trivia section - however, this just doesn't feel right. It would make more sense if there was a space in the template to accomodate for this, seeing as it's an anime. A quick glance at other wikis reveals that this is already present. See: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_-_Episode_050 as an example.
Looking forward to your thoughts,
I'm wondering if there's a standard tense to use when writing anime plots on the corresponding articles. Past tense would be the easiest, and it would both make sense, and work (at least until episode 65).
Is there already a standard? Any ideas?
When I was editing the Gem Guardians page, I changed all of the gem names to lower-case (for example, the Topaz --> the topaz, Ruby --> ruby). When I went on the main page for each gem, I realised that the pages Topaz, Ruby, Opal, Lapis Lazuli, Emerald, Amethyst and Diamond all, somewhere in the article, use the capitalised version of the gem name. Now I've started to realise that this is a constant throughout the whole of this wiki.
The books use lower-cased gem names. My proposition is - should we enforce lower-cased gem names throughout the wiki to be consistent alongside the books?
Why was the plot summary deleted from The Forests of Silence (book) page? Just wondering.
In the Golden Door (door of past), Sonia and Rye meet a man named Nanion. I was wondering if this was the same Nanion; Lief, Barda and Jasmine met at the Lake of Tears? In the Third Door, Farr mentions that the people of Fleet had inhabited a place/city? named D'Or in Deltora. Would Nanion be one of the ancestors of the people of D'Or, or would aging not take place in the time D'Or was ruled by the sorceress Thagen (when Nanion was Soldeen and his people were turned into fish), therefore meaning that they are the same person.
Very confused. What are your thoughts?
I'm talking about the Ol page Right now, I think that that page should really be more of a Creature page than what it looks like now, and wouldn't the first chronological appearence be in the 1st book since Prandine was an Ol, although we didn't find that out until much later..... I feel the compulsive need to completely redo this article, although I'm not sure that I should if you currently like the format it's in.
I was editing the Thaegan page when I noticed that it said that the Sorceror Dann married Thaegan at some point in time. I'm just wondering, how can this be? Dann never left Dorne, as far as I know, and it seems he died there. So how could he have married Thaegan?
I'm writing a fanfic about Jarred and Anna's march to the Shadowlands and I really need this info. Also, how long does it take to cross each territory when walking?
At the start of the series Lief is very arrogant and stubbon. At first Lief does not get along with Jasmine and Barda. In the end Lief marries Jasmine and has 3 children named after their parents Anna(Liefs mother) Endon(Liefs father) and Jarrod(Jasmines father). In the 3rd book of the second series it is said that Lief is in love with Jasmine.
