You could use something like Booktopia and get your ebooks that way. Or Amazon Kindle. Also check Bookdepository. I believe they sometimes have some offers like free shipping did when I ordered the two last Star of Deltora books.

Now that the wiki has been migrated to new UCP, or United Community Platform - the new wiki software that Fandom now uses - please report any bugs or annoyances down below. Be objective, be very specific so we know when or how it happened as best as possible.

We are aware that many things might not work. Right now I've found that the Main Page slider is broken, for instance, leading to the images on it instead of the blog posts. Reason being that blog posts aren't a thing anymore.

I found the part about their lifespan.

“The Maris live long. Far longer than we of Rin. And the Keepers reach a greater age than any of them, because of the power of the Crystal. But still there comes a time when each Keeper knows death is near. At this time the Crystal begins to lose its fre and its strength. Then a new Keeper must be chosen, to take the old one’s place. The new Keeper must join with the Crystal before the old Keeper dies, so that its power is not lost.”

— Timon to Rowan (and other students) in Rowan and the Keeper of the Crystal, chapter 2 "The Crystal of María". This is a flashback dialogue, having been a lesson in the past.

But where do we learn Person is middle-aged?

In what books are the lifespan of the Maris folk talked about? Can anyone cite specific passages?

EDIT: “So each Keeper is wiser than the Keepers of the past!” breathed Rowan. “Wiser and more powerful.” - Rowan and the Keeper of the Crystal. It is possible that the power to sense the wraiths at that distance had nothing to do with experience or the amount of time Doss was the Keeper, but that the Crystal simply gave him all this knowledge and power to begin with-

Furthermore, saying that he's been repelled twice by a magic more powerful than his own does not necessarily mean that the latter of those two times just happened. Also, I'd say the second time was at the end of DQ1. It just means that it happened twice. I could also say that some country's been defeated twice in two world wars in our world. But that does not mean that the second world war just happened.

Endon was more like 40-50 years ago from Star of Deltora. Lief is in his 30s or 40s by that series, as it takes place about 15 years after DQ3.

Oh yeah. And I just checked. The Forbidden Way is dark a Thatd narrow. That is why they didn't see they were passing under Lapis Lazuli territor I think. Or maybe the tunnel's walls were normal rock.

Maybe there is no Lapis Lazuli sea at all? Just a very long Forbidden Way, and then where the Lapis sea would be there is just rock?

I am still very fascinated by the Pirran Pipe and its origin. It's strange to me that there is not at least some kind of reference to its creation or origin, even some kind of mysterious one. Wouldn't completely have ruined the mystery of the Pipe in my opinion, because Rodda could have been less specific.

Just know that Rowan of Rin and the places in those books are not brought up again until Star of Deltora, the latest series. But they are good books nonetheless!

Yet it is a little hard to place Rowan of Rin in the timeline. But it seems implied that it takes place close to or along the events of Deltora Quest series 1-3.

The publication order was Rowan of Rin book 1-4 (not 5 yet), Deltora Quest, Deltora Quest 2, Deltora Quest 3, Rowan of Rin book 5, The Three Doors and Star of Deltora.

I personally read all the Deltora Quest series before I read the Rowan of Rin series, as I did not know about it before then, and afterwards I tackled The Three Doors and Star of Deltora, but I think the chronological order that makes the most sense is:

Rowan of Rin (all books), Deltora Quest, Deltora Quest 2, Deltora Quest 3, The Three Doors, Star of Deltora.

I suggest reading all the RoR books in a row because the fifth takes place not long after the fourth one, practically the same year.

That is odd. Either an error, or they moved north of Lapis Lazuli territory, under some of the foothills of the Barrier Mountains. Or it's an error.

I was just wondering about the whole question of Lief leaving Deltora. As we know, the Belt works for other people related to Adin, like Marilen, so as long as she is alive, or heck, even as long as his children are alive, he could potentially travel to other nations while they wore the Belt, right?
