<p>Calling it now, the Hungry Island is in fact a giant 'great turtle', a species which was mentioned in Shadows of the Master. Britta saw them swimming. This is how the islands 'eats' and moves around. It also references the turtle-man Tier and their connection to the turtles.
</p><p>There's a few things that goes against this theory, how there seems to be rocks and forests of the turtle, but I see it similar to the Lion Turtle in Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was so old the trees had grown on it's shell.
</p><p>Or the whole island oculd just be magical, but I think this would be really interesting to see! Thoughts?
